By downloading or using Hanzi Forge, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

License

Hanzi Forge grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for non-commercial personal use. You may not resell, distribute, decompile, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the app unless permitted by applicable law.

Intellectual property

The app, its artwork, UI design, scoring system, curated component pool, and marketing materials are the property of Toni Kulmala. Character decomposition data derives from open sources including make me a hanzi, used under their respective licenses. Chinese language and its characters belong to everyone.

Your content

If you submit in-game feedback, you grant us permission to read, store, and act on that feedback for the purpose of improving the app. You retain any rights you otherwise hold in what you write.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to interfere with the app's operation, security, or the feedback backend.
• Do not use the app to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
• Do not submit unlawful content through the feedback form.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app is error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet any particular educational goal.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Toni Kulmala be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app.

Changes to the app and to these terms

We may update the app and these terms over time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or for legal reasons.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Finland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
